The Collection Comprises:Over 3,000 textile items from the twenties to the nineties, including 50 film and 70 show costumes, by among others Jean Louis, Travis Banton, Edith Head, Eddie Schmidt.

1,000 individual items from her private wardrobe, 50 handbags, 150 pairs of gloves, by among others Elizabeth Arden, Balenciaga, Balmain, Chanel, Courreges, Dior, Givenchy, Guerlain, Irene, Knize, Lee, Levis, Schiaparelli, Ungaro.

 

400 hats, 440 pairs of shoes by, among others Agnes, Aprile, Cavanagh, Lilly Dache, Delman, Edouard, John Frederics, Massaro. About 15,000 photographs from 1904 to 1992, including 5,000 film stills and behind-the-scenes pictures 5,000 pictures of show performances 2,000 pictures of public appearances 1,000 private and family pictures 2,000 original prints by famous photographers like Cecil Beaton, Mario Bucovich, Irving Chidnoff, Don English, Horst P. Horst, George Hurrell, Armstrong Jones, Ray Jones, Eugene Robert Richee, Edward Steichen und William Walling.

 

About 300,000 leaves of written documents; including letters from Burt Bacharach, Charles Boyer, Yul Brynner, Maurice Chevalier, Noel Coward, Jean Gabin, Douglas Fairbanks jr., Willi Forst, Ernest Hemingway, Alfred Kerr, Hildegard Knef, Karl Lagerfeld, Lilli Palmer, Alfred Polgar, Nancy and Ronald Reagan, Erich Maria Remarque, Maximilian Schell, Johannes Mario Simmel, Josef von Sternberg, Orson Welles, Billy Wilder and Carl Zuckmayer.2,500 sound recordings from the thirties to the eighties.300 posters, drawings, and paintings, including:50 costume figurines
